Episode 1: Grant Dixon
We speak with Grant Dixon, a kiwi documentary maker who has just released his feature length film: The Big FAT Lie.
My main reason for making the film was to try and change public attitude and public policy. So I'm going for the top, you know, I'm going for government, I'm going for the Ministry of Health and then second-layer down are the doctors out there in the surgeries who are treating patients... In the 1950s a lot of doctors smoked cigarettes and they didn't seem to think there was much of a problem there. Now today, you wouldn't see that very much, and people know about smoking being very dangerous- the same thing needs to happen about food."
